A cylinder was splined and scalloped on its edge. After replication it was processed using a Julia Set fractal. In some cases the Julia was replicated again to form a 3×3 array of images. In other cases it was projected onto a tetrahedron or octahedron. The images were reminiscent of large “jelly fish” that are members of the phylum cnidaria.
Three of these pieces, Cnidarian No. 3, Cnidarians on an Octahedron, and Cnidarians on a Tetrahedron will be showing at Georgia Blue Gallery starting on First Friday, 1 March 2019.
